With Women Antepartum Services

Antepartum doulas are non-medical support people who serve mothers who are classified as having high-risk pregnancies, and who may be on bed rest or restricted activity.  As your doula, they will draw on their knowledge of and experience with both normal and high-risk pregnancy to provide practical, emotional, physical, and informational support to you and your family. They listen to your concerns and daily experiences, provide reassurance and perspective to you and your family, make suggestions for coping with the concerns of high-risk pregnancy and any activity restrictions, and help with the practical, day-to-day concerns of life so that you can focus on caring yourself and your baby.  They can also provide education on pregnancy and childbirth.

Our goal is to help family’s through pregnancy by offering guidance and reassuring support so that they can parent confidently. Our services include:

* Providing physical comfort measures, such as neck and foot rubs.
* Light household tasks and running errands.
* Helping with breastfeeding or bottle feeding.
* Assistance with baby and sibling care.
* Cooking healthy meals for Mom and the family.
* Communicating with family and friends.
* Providing requested information about the pregnancy and options.
