Postpartum Doula
I am the mother of two children ages nine and six. Through my own struggles as a new mother, and through discussions with other mothers, I have come to realize the true need for caring, non-judgmental support for a family when welcoming a new baby or babies into their home. In addition to my experience with my own children, I have assisted many family members and friends during this time of transition. I have completed the DONA Postpartum Doula Training Course and I am currently working toward obtaining my DONA Postpartum Doula Certification.
My goal is to relieve the new mother of her day to day responsibilities, so that she is then better rested and able to nurture and care for her family. This includes help with meal preparation, errands, light housekeeping and sibling care. I can also provide information and support with regard to infant care and feeding and provide referrals when needed.
Through my support and assistance, I hope to help both parents develop confidence in their parenting skills and to trust their instincts. I strive to be helpful and supportive in a quiet, pleasant and unobtrusive manner. I am always respectful of the culture, lifestyle, values and traditions of my clients.
