Are you interested in having one-on-one professional care during your birth?  Would you like additional physical, emotional and informational support for yourself and your family during labor? 

The With Women Hospital Birth Doula Program offers gentle, non-judgmental support to all birthing families at Lutheran Hospital. If you are planning a natural birth, birth with an epidural, or are birthing by scheduled cesarean section, our doulas are here to support you. 

Program Details

Doulas are trained professionals who understand the birthing process, and can offer comfort, guidance, and reassurance to the birthing mother and all who are there to support her.  Our doulas are on-call for registered clients 24/7.  Clients enjoy as many prenatal visits as they would like with our doulas during Doula Consultation and Client Workshop events, as well as unlimited email and phone support throughout their pregnancy.  

The doula on-call at the time you are admitted to the hospital will join you and support you throughout your birth experience.  She will stay with you for one to two hours after your birth to assist with first feedings, take pictures, and help you get settled.  Your doula will do a follow-up visit at the hospital one or two days after your birth.  

The fee for this program is $450 - significantly less than the average cost of a doula in the Denver area which ranges from $600-$900.  With Women will assist you in submitting for insurance reimbursement for doula services.
