Postpartum Doula
I am a mother of two wonderful daughters and grandmother of three neat children. I have been caring for newborns, infants and children for over 20 years. I have extensive experience with multiples. When my children were young, I had a daycare in my home.
I nurture newborns and parents by providing loving, educated, respectful, non-judgmental, and reliable care to each of the families I work with. I ask parents to tell me how I can help them the most. For daytime this includes, besides the newborn care, and breastfeeding help, such things as light housekeeping, laundry, errands, meal prep and sibling care. I like to provide parents with tips and techniques on calming, feeding, bathing, and establishing a sleep strategy that can help infants sleep through the night. Each and every newborn is special and unique and I am extremely attentive and supportive of parents’ desires for their babies.
I have a BS degree from Loyola University in Chicago where I grew up. I am down to earth and comfortable to be around. I have been told that I have a calming affect on both infants and parents. My goal is to help you enjoy this most precious time in your newborn’s life.
